Judge Denies Bard's Bid to Dismiss Port Catheter Bellwether Case

What happened

The federal judge overseeing the Bard PowerPort multidistrict litigation in Arizona denied a motion for summary judgment filed by C.R. Bard Inc. and Becton Dickinson and Co., allowing a woman's design-defect claims to proceed to the third bellwether trial in the MDL, according to Mealey's and Bloomberg Law.
