The Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis emerged from Chapter 11 in 2018 with a $210M victims' fund. Minnesota Minn. Stat. § 541.073 was amended in 2013 and 2023 (Child Victims Act) to allow suits until age 25 or 6 years from discovery; the 2023 law also opened a 3-year lookback window. Survivors who participated in the bankruptcy trust received distributions; new post-emergence civil suits for non-discharged claims proceed in Hennepin County District Court.
