Statute of Limitations

Alaska imposes a 2-year statute of limitations for tort claims (AS 09.10.070). The discovery rule applies — the limitations period begins when a claimant knew or reasonably should have known of the Zantac-NDMA-cancer link. Alaska courts apply a Daubert-style standard for expert testimony under Alaska R. Evid. 702. Claimants with bladder, esophageal, stomach, or colorectal cancer diagnoses within the last two years should consult an attorney without delay.

2 years from date of cancer diagnosis discovery (Daubert expert standard)
