Statute of Limitations
Hawaii has a 2-year statute of limitations for personal injury and product liability claims (HRS § 657-7). For minor victims, HRS § 657-13 tolls the SOL during minority. Hawaii does not have a product liability statute of repose. Honolulu juries have demonstrated willingness to award substantial damages in consumer product injury cases.
