What is the deadline in Louisiana?
Louisiana: a claim against a person for sexual abuse of a minor, or for physical abuse of a minor causing permanent injury or scarring, does not prescribe (La. R.S. 9:2800.9); other claims for abuse of a minor have 3 years from age 18 (La. Civ. Code art. 3496.1). A revival window for previously expired claims is open until June 14, 2027 (Acts 2024, No. 481). Section 1983: 1-year SOL. A lawyer can confirm yours.
