Statute of Limitations
Maryland has a 3-year statute of limitations for personal injury and product liability claims (Md. Code, Cts. & Jud. Proc. § 5-101). For minor victims, § 5-201 tolls the SOL during minority — child has until age 21 (18 + 3 years) to file independently. Maryland does not have a product liability statute of repose, which is favorable to plaintiffs.
