South Dakota imposes a 3-year statute of limitations for personal injury claims (SDCL § 15-2-14). The discovery rule applies. South Dakota courts apply Daubert reliability standards for expert testimony under SDCL 19-19-702. The 3-year SOL is more favorable than the 2-year period in most states.
