Between March and July 2026, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) opened a series of new investigations into vehicle components, including inadvertent airbag deployment, front steering knuckle fractures, lower lateral link detachment, timing belt failure, and ABS malfunction indicator issues, according to NHTSA investigation records.
