NHTSA opened multiple new investigations between March and July 2026 into reported issues including carry handle separation, inadvertent air bag deployment, lower lateral link detachment, timing belt failure, fuel smell with loss of power, ABS warning lamp illumination, steering knuckle fractures, automated driving system behavior, rear toe link separation, and rental of vehicles with open recalls.
