What is the deadline in Arizona?

A.R.S. § 12-542: 2-year SOL from when the cause of action accrues (Arizona courts apply a discovery rule: when the patient knew or had reason to know of the injury). Where would my case be heard?

Arizona has a 2-year statute of limitations for medical malpractice from the date of the injury or, under the discovery rule, from when the patient discovered or should have discovered the injury. Arizona has no cap on non-economic damages in malpractice cases, making it a favorable jurisdiction for catastrophic injury claims. A notice of claim must be filed at least 60 days before filing suit, with a response period of 60 days.
