Where to File in Colorado
Colorado AFFF cases can be filed in the district court of the county where the plaintiff resides or where the exposure occurred. Major contaminated sites include Peterson SFB (El Paso County), Buckley SFB (Arapahoe County), Fort Carson (El Paso County), and the U.S. Air Force Academy (El Paso County). The Denver District Court and El Paso County District Court handle the largest volume of toxic tort cases. Federal claims are consolidated in MDL 2873 in D.S.C. Colorado Springs communities near Peterson SFB have been particularly affected.
