Nevada has Nellis AFB and the adjacent Nevada Test and Training Range (the largest air force range in the world) near Las Vegas, Creech AFB north of Las Vegas (home of drone operations), and Fallon Naval Air Station in Churchill County. Las Vegas area communities and the Fallon area have documented PFAS exposure from military AFFF operations.
Nevada personal injury claims are governed by NRS § 11.190(4)(e), providing a 2-year limitations period from discovery. Federal PFAS claims proceed in MDL 2873 (D.S.C.). Nellis AFB north of Las Vegas, Creech AFB in Indian Springs, and NAS Fallon in Churchill County are the primary military PFAS sites. NAS Fallon has documented PFAS contamination and the Fallon community has historically high rates of childhood leukemia that have been the subject of environmental investigation.
