Utah Code § 78B-3-106 provides the wrongful death action, and Utah Code § 78B-2-304(2) sets a 2-year statute of limitations. Economic damages — lost earnings, medical expenses, and funeral costs — are uncapped. Salt Lake County District Court handles Utah's highest volume of wrongful death cases.
