For sexual assault of a minor, a civil action may be brought within the later of 8 years after the minor's 18th birthday or 3 years after discovery (Wyo. Stat. § 1-3-105(b)). Wyoming provides a 4-year civil statute of limitations for personal injury, which applies to sexual assault claims, under Wyo. Stat. § 1-3-105(a)(iv)(C); the 1-year period for assault or battery in § 1-3-105(a)(v)(B) excludes sexual assault. Cheyenne and Casper are the primary rideshare markets. Wyoming has a smaller rideshare market than most states. Wyoming does not require fingerprint-based background checks for rideshare drivers.
